Eric Bugenhagen (Rick Boogs) Comments on Future of His Wrestlijng Career & Being Open To In-Ring Return
Former WWE wrestler Rick Boogs, real name Eric Bugenhagen, has been absent from wrestling since his release from WWE in September of 2023 and last wrestled at SummerSlam 2023 in August of 2023. During his time away from wrestling, Bugenhagen had joined the cast of the Amazon Gladiators reboot series, which recently premiered on Amazon Prime.
A recent episode of the Insight with Chris Van Vliet podcast featured Bugenhagen as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Bugenhagen’s thoughts about if he his done with his pro wrestling career.
“I don’t think so, man. I was a little soiled, sour flavor in my mouth.”
Bugenhagen also gave his thoughts about if he is more open to potentially resuming his wrestling career in the future compared to his stance in 2024.
“Yeah. I mean, as I get older and wiser. 3 years, you’ve almost graduated high school. That’s a freshman to a senior. Look at how much you’ve developed in that point in time. Or in college, baby-faced freshman to, like, grizzled, a real man. I’m going out to the real world. But I’m also glad, though, because if anything would have happened, it’s hard, man, pro wrestling is tough. What if I had a kink in my shoulder, I can’t do the tryout, I can’t do any push-ups. So I missed the trout for American Gladiators because of that. Or what if I can go but I got a kink in my shoulder, and I can only do 6 push-ups instead of 100.”

Daniel Rodimer Murder Charges Update – Rodimer Seeking Dismissal of Murder Charges Against Him
As noted before, former WWE wrestler Daniel Rodimer is currently facing charges of murder over the death of a 47-year-old man at hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada in October of 2023. Rodimer had pleaded not guilty to the charges against him in May of 2024.
FOX5 Vegas reported that Rodimer’s attorneys filed a motion on Tuesday seeking to dismiss the murder charges against him.
In the filing, Rodimer’s attorneys argued that the “Clark County coroner’s findings show Tapp’s injuries were the result of drug and alcohol use and they were not suspicious.” Rodimer’s attorneys also argued that “police violated attorney-client and spousal privilege by intercepting Rodimer’s text messages with his lawyer and his wife.”
The Las Vegas Police Department had initially believed that Christopher Tapp’s death at the Resorts World Las Vegas was an accident but following an investigation, they learned that Tapp had instead died after an altercation allegedly involving Rodimer inside a hotel room.
