As noted before, this past May’s AEW Double or Nothing 2026 event featured WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley making his official debut appearance in AEW. Following his appearance, AEW CEO Tony Khan confirmed that Foley was officially signed to the company.
Dave Meltzer reported in Monday’s Daily Update that Foley will not be in San Jose for AEW and NJPW’s co-promoted Forbidden Door 2026 event on June 28th.
Meltzer reported that the reason for Foley’s abscense from the show is due to him having a contractual date for a comedy show in Seabrook, New Hampshire this weekend. Foley reportedly attempted to get the date for his comedy show changed but he was unable to do so in the end.
Meltzer also reported that Foley has cleared his work schedule after AEW’s upcoming Forbidden Door event that will make him available for both AEW Dynamite shows and pay-per-view events when needed through this September and also this November and December.
