Chris D Comedy held a recent interview with Damian Priest. One of the topics discussed included Priest’s thoughts about the future of his wrestling career and his current retirement plans.
“I don’t have a number. I don’t have a time, but I know that I’m going to listen to my body. I’ve already — I can tell, you know, it’s just natural that you’re going to start slowing down. I don’t know how much time I have left, but I don’t plan on leaving anytime soon. But at the same time, into my 50s, definitely not. Before 50, I would be done.”
Priest also gave his thoughts about his interest in a potential Hollywood acting career in the future after his wrestling career is over.
“I mean, look, if that phone rings, I’ll answer it. You know? I mean, why not. But that would have to be also when I’m done with the wrestling thing, like he did. I’ve thought about that as far as a possible future, dabbling in that world. It seems interesting. I love entertainment. I love entertaining people.”
Priest also gave his thoughts about how he can be “a little bit” forgiving towards some fans over the way they act towards wrestlers in public.
“There’s a lot of passionate fans, let’s say that. I get it, when you’re so passionate about something, you kinda forget how to act normal. You forget just common decency and you invade people’s space and what not. It’s not out of maliciousness, it’s just out of passion. You kind of forget where you are because you kind of lose control of your functions. I do forgive it a little bit, but I’m not saying that it’s also okay [to the point] that I’m happy when it’s happening. It’s a part of it. To anyone who’s in a celebrity type of role, if you’re going to complain about being approached by fans, then you chose the wrong industry.”
