AJ Styles Revealed He Helped Produce Naraku vs. Tony D’Angelo Match at July 21 WWE NXT Show

This past Tuesday’s WWE NXT show at the Performance Center in Orlando, Florida featured Tony D’Angelo defeating Naraku in a Street Fight match to retain the NXT Championship.

A recent episode of the Phenomenally Retro podcast featured WWE Hall of Famer and co-host AJ Styles revealing that he helped produce the Naraku vs. D’Angelo match for the NXT Championship at this past Tuesday’s WWE NXT show.

“I was able to help with the producing of the Tony D/Naraku match, and I thought it went really, really well. Really well. And I’m one of those people that are still heavily involved in watching the match. So, while I was on the headset, I did not do a good job of saying anything other than [loudly reacting to the match]. I let somebody else handle that part of the producing part. But, yeah, man, we got together and I think we did a good job.”

Styles also gave his praise to both Naraku and D’Angelo and also stated that he really likes D’Angelo’s current character in NXT and believes D’Angelo will be one of the next stars to be called up to WWE’s main roster.

Adriana Rizzo Makes In-Ring Return at July 24 WWE NXT House Show Event

Friday’s WWE NXT house show event in Fort Pierce, Florida featured NXT talent and WWE EVOLVE interviewer Adriana Rizzo making her official in-ring return from injury.

Rizzo competed in a singles match against Myka Lockwood at the event.

This was Rizzo’s first match since April of 2025 due to a torn ACL and meniscus injuries.

Triple H To Host Oba Femi & Brock Lesnar Weigh-In at July 27 WWE RAW Show

During Friday’s WWE SmackDown show in Oakland, California, it was announced that WWE CCO Paul “Triple H” will be making an appearance at next week’s WWE RAW show on July 27 at the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles, California.

It was announced that Triple H will host the weigh-in between Oba Femi and Brock Lesnar for their upcoming Hell in a Cell match at SummerSlam 2026.
