WWE Reportedly Expecting AEW To Have A Significant Presence In United States During WrestleMania 43 Weekend

As noted before, WWE recently announced that they will be holding a WrestleMania 43 Watch Party event in April of 2027 in New York City, New York. This watch party was announced to be part of a larger WrestleMania 43 weekend festivities in the city including a NXT Stand & Deliver event and a co-branded WWE x AAA Eternal Glory event. These events will be separate from WrestleMania 43 itself due to next year’s event taking place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select reported that their sources stated that some WWE officials currently are expecting Tony Khan and AEW to have a significant presence somewhere in the United States during WrestleMania 43 weekend.

It was reported that one source spoken to within WWE reportedly stated that this belief was one of the reasons why the company went ahead with announcing its plans for WrestleMania 43 weekend in the U.S. this far out in advance.

AEW CEO Tony Khan had mentioned in recent AEW media scrums about his interest in potentially holding a major AEW event in the United States when WWE goes to Saudi Arabia for WrestleMania 43 and potentially partnering with indies promotions for a WrestleMania style weekend festivities.
