Paragon Talent Group Founder & Wrestling Agent Steve Kaye Confirms “The Butcher” Andy Williams & AEW Were In Talks For Potential Outside Of The Ring Work

As noted before, former AEW wrestler The Butcher, real name Andy Williams, passed away on September 6 following a medical emergency incident at an indie event for Enjoy Wrestling in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Ring of Honor held a memorial tribute to Williams prior to the start of this Tuesday’s ROH TV tapings and AEW had dedicated Saturday’s AEW Collision show as a tribute show to him. AEW CEO Tony Khan had recently revealed that Williams was in talks with AEW for potential outside of the ring projects and work.

Steve Kaye, Paragon Talent Group founder and wrestling agent, confirmed earlier today on Twitter that Williams had been in talks with AEW for potential projects and work prior to his passing. Kaye stated that he was present with Williams for those meetings.

“This story is absolutely accurate as I sat in these meetings w/Andy. My hope is that some of Andy’s ideas that were presented one day come to fruition as fans and talent alike would love to see what he had in mind. I appreciate @TonyKhan being receptive to the ideas Andy had.”
