– As previously reported, Gail Kim, Kelly Kelly, Eve Torres & the Bella Twins defeated Jillian Hall, Katie Lee, Natalya, Maryse & Alicia Fox in a dark match that took place prior to the Rumble going live on PPV. The crowd was said to be dead for this match.
– WWE had the backstage area on lockdown last night to prevent and protect the surprise return of Edge from leaking out. Even invited guests who were originally invited backstage were told it was “staff only” last night.
– After the Royal Rumble PPV went off the air, Edge was in the ring for about another ten minutes with loud “Welcome back” chants coming from the crowd.
