» Michael Jordan and Pamela Anderson are the latest celebrities being discussed to host future episodes of RAW. It’s worth noting that the Jun. 14 edition of RAW will be taking place at the Time Warner Cable Arena in Charlotte, North Carolina, where the Jordan-owned Charlotte Bobcats play. Following a Washington Wizards’ practice session in February 2003, Jordan was interviewed and told that Monday Night RAW would be taking place later that night at his home arena (the MCI Center, now known as the Verizon Center). Jordan responded, “Oh, wrestling’s in town?” One reporter said, “Yeah, Ric Flair just walked by.” Jordan then let out a “Whoooo!” He then noted that he grew up watching Flair. While “His Airness” is regarded as North Carolina’s most famous alum, he acknowledged that day North Carolina is “Flair Country.”
» As reported earlier, Mark Henry was arrested late one night at a bar in Belfast, Ireland while the RAW crew was stranded during their recent trip overseas. His arrest garnered attention as a local newspaper quoted a fan who claimed that the WWE Superstar threw a beverage at him and his fiancée, and challenged him to a fight. As noted earlier, reaction to Henry’s arrest within the company is said to be minimal as he is considered a mild-mannered individual and it is believed that the fan did something to provoke him. There are reports that the fan was asking for multiple autographs, possibly to sell on eBay but that is not confirmed.
