Sami Zayn spoke with the Sporting News and denied reports that he’s dealing with a shoulder injury.
Zayn said when asked, “No, I don’t know where these rumors come from exactly, but I do have a very minor medical issue. It’s not serious and it’s not career threatening, but it’s kept me out. This company takes really, really… they don’t mess around. They’re very serious about their talent’s health. And if you’re not medically cleared, it’s not like the old days where I’m banged out, but I’ll work around it.”
He added, “If you’re hurt, wait until you’re better and then get in the ring, which really, as a performer, is a bitter pill to swallow sometimes on a night like (Friday) when NXT is having a live event in front of 5,000 people that sold out in an hour… It kills me that I can’t be on it, almost as much that I’m not on WrestleMania this year.”
