The Original Plans For Naomi’s Heel Turn

When WWE had Naomi turn heel at this past Monday’s RAW, it was a storyline that was originally intended for someone else.

Originally, AJ Lee was scheduled to turn heel on Paige, however when she announced her WWE retirement, which caught many in the company off-guard, WWE decided to go with Naomi in the spot originally intended for AJ.

It’s worth noting, Naomi was also scheduled to turn heel during the feud between The Miz and her real-life husband — Jimmy Uso — but for whatever reason, WWE scrapped those plans.
