Pro Wrestling Sheet reports that The Young Bucks spoke with Lucha Underground, NXT and TNA before signing an exclusive contract with ROH. However, ROH was always the most serious about signing them.
TNA contacted them several times this year to try to get them, with the most recent time being before Bound for Glory. The talks with the Bucks and NXT were never serious, but there were several people with some authority trying to convince top officials to sign them.
ROH matched what the Bucks were making on all of their US independent dates combined. NJPW helped facilitate the signing. They wanted the team to work a lighter schedule since they were busy with a large amount of dates. They convinced ROH to make the deal exclusive.
