Rolling Stone reports that YouPorn has signed a sponsorship deal with Joey Ryan after his “penis throw” video went viral earlier this month. The clip showed him flexing his penis in a match with Danshoku Dino, causing him to flip over. The clip went rival and now Ryan is having interviews with Vice and reading about the match in the New York Daily News. He’s worked for TNA and as enhancement talent for WWE, while also founding Pro Wrestling Guerrilla in Los Angeles.
He said: “It’s been kind of unbelievable. Those 27 seconds have definitely changed my career.”
In the wake of his sudden popularity, Ryan has released a limited-edition “King of Dong Style” shirt, signed up for Lucha Underground season two and is getting offers from several organizations.
YouPorn has also made him an offer, to be part of the new division YouPorn Sports. The new division was made to endorse athletes in several sports. It already has its own eSports team. Ryan has signed a deal that will see him name is finishing movie the YouPorn Plex. He’ll also wear YouPorn-themed attire during future matches. However, he’s not going to appear on videos for the site, even if it’s his favorite adult site (“isn’t it everybody’s?”)
He said: “I’m more like a brand ambassador. They’ve already given me a bunch of hats and T-shirts – I’m wearing one of the hats right now.”
He says the deal will give him financial stability and career flexibility, which is more difficult for independent wrestlers to obtain. When asked what his family might think, he replied: “I’m not too worried about it,” he laughs. “When I was in TNA [wrestling], I was doing a ‘Size Matters’ gimmick, and we had pretaped a Thanksgiving episode of Impact, so when it aired, I was sitting around the table with my family, and there I was on TV, just talking about how big my cock is.“
