Baron Corbin
Sports Illustrated’s Justin Barraso said last week that he heard that John Cena was behind WWE ending Baron Corbin’s push, claiming that Cena, when asked by Vince McMahon, told Vince that he didn’t feel that Corbin was ready.
However, in today’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer claims that Cena “had nothing to do” with Corbin losing his briefcase or WWE seemingly souring on him. Meltzer says that it was due to “an entire different situation outside the ring that happened a few weeks ago,” though he doesn’t specify what the situation is or any more info.
There has also been some speculation that Corbin being a heel on Twitter could have been the reason, but Meltzer said that that also was not it.

The Fashion Files / The Authors of Pain
The Authors of Pain dropped the NXT Tag Team titles at TakeOver Brooklyn, leading to the belief that they may be headed to the main roster soon. They were not at NXT’s recent TV tapings, which were for four weeks of shows.
There has been some speculation that they could end up being the team that has been attacking Breezango and WWE could use that as a way to bring them up.
There have also been rumors that WWE was planning on using Luke Harper and Erick Rowan in that role, so who knows.
WWE UK Show
WWE is still planning on doing a United Kingdom show, according to Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
The plan right now is to do TV tapings before the end of this year, but that may or may not happen since the original plan was to start shooting in June.
There was some speculation that WWE may have given up on the idea, but for now at least, it appears that they haven’t.
Meanwhile, the UK wrestlers that WWE signed have been working a few matches in NXT.
