WWE reportedly is currently expected to hold the 2026 Royal Rumble event in Saudi Arabia, according to PWInsider.
Mike Johnson reported that multiple sources within WWE confirmed that the company currently has scheduled for next year’s event to be held overseas and in Saudi Arabia.
This will be the first time that WWE will hold a Royal Rumble event outside of the United States since the Rumble expanded into being a PPV/PLE event in January of 1989. WWE’s inaugural Royal Rumble event was held as a television special and in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada in January of 1988.
Johnson reported that a deal between WWE and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for next year’s event is locked in and an official announcement could be made as soon as this Monday’s WWE RAW premiere show on Netflix.
This year’s Royal Rumble event will be taking place on February 1st at the Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana.
