Killer Kross on If His Online WWE Contract Talk Was A Work or Not & Reasons Why His Contract Talks with WWE Fell Apart

Killer Kross, former Karrion Kross in WWE, released a new chapter of his One Big Work documentary titled “My Life After WWE” on Monday.

One of the topics discussed included Kross’ thoughts about if his contract talk stuff online prior to his departure from WWE was part of a work or if it was genuine.

“‘Is this all a big work?’ Is that what you’re asking me, is this a work? Is this a big elaborate, intricate work where I come back and say ‘surprise’? The answer to that question is, in a sense, yes, this was all one big work. The worst part about it, though, is that it’s not the work everybody thought it was because I was the one getting worked.”

Kross also gave his thoughts about him comparing his career to the story of Moby Dick and one reason why he did not sign a new deal to stay in WWE revolved around the company not considering his book to be important enough in the contract negotiations. Kross also stated that WWE took a cut of his book sales.

“When talent relations told Ahab [Kross] that the sale of his book, something they get a cut of and make a profit from, was irrelevant to the conversation in terms of determining his value, a book that is literally about a fucking kid standing at port watching them bring the whales back, growing up, going out to sea, and becoming a whaler himself, that’s all he wanted to do his whole fucking life. When you tell that kid that his story doesn’t matter and you’re taking money from him and you’re telling him that stuff is irrelevant to the conversation, there is no deal to be made and there is nothing to agree to. They said they would rescind their offer in 24 hours. He wanted to keep the dialogue open and really wanted to work things out. They rescinded the offer. Nobody contacted Ahab. Sometimes, when somebody makes you an offer and there are red flags all over it, you should pay attention to that.”

Kross also gave his thoughts about how in 2021 when WWE wanted to sign him to be part of the main roster, he asked about his “siren”, Scarlett. Kross stated that WWE officials had told him to sign the contract and they’d get to Scarlett only to not call her up and both were released by the end of that year.

“Ahab signed the contract and he went out to sea, they never signed the siren, they kept her sitting at home and they turned Ahab into a f****** a******. So Ahab wasn’t going to fall for that again. Because he’s f****** read the book.

Money is f****** worthless when it’s not attached to principles. Ahab thought I’d rather make less money and preserve my principles than to agree that nothing I have done over the last three years means anything and nothing I will do for the next three or five will mean anything either. My story, my life story, is not irrelevant.”
