Escobar provided an update this past Friday stating that he is still “waiting, patiently” for his return to WWE.

Fightful Select’s Sean Ross Sapp reported that his sources stated that WWE officials did have big plans for Santos prior to any of the “will he/won’t he?” remain in WWE stuff happened last month. Sapp reported that WWE’s plans for Escobar may still come into effect soon but its currently not a pressing concern or priority for WWE CCO Paul “Triple H” Levesque or WWE’s creative team.

Sapp reported that those spoken to confirmed that Escobar was in attendance backstage at the October 27th WWE RAW shown Anaheim, California but wasn’t shown on camera nor used at all for the show.

Sapp also reported that Santos is currently making “very goof” money as part of his new deal with WWE.
