John Cena Reiterates He’s “100 Percent Done” From In-Ring Career After December 13th
A recent episode of the Jimmy Kimmel Live show featured John Cena as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Cena’s thoughts about him being “100 percent done” with his in-ring wrestling after his retirement match at WWE’s Saturday Night’s Main Event show on December 13th in Washington, D.C.
“This has really never been done in WWE history. WWE superstars don’t necessarily retire, they always kind of hang on for one more match. I am absolutely, 100% done on the 13th of December. it is my last in-ring performance. I will never wrestle again.”
Cena also gave his thoughts about what would happen if he does wrestle again in the future.
“Then, you’ll be able to show this clip and call me a liar. There is a lot of skepticism out there because this has never been done before. I just hope people can come to grips with that because the reason I wanted to give people so much me time is because being able to perform for two decades, and people allowing me into their living rooms week after week, 52 weeks a year, no reruns, you do feel a connection with people. Touring the world in this last year has been beautiful. Meeting audience members and them sharing their stories has been great. I wanted to give people a heads up so people could process whatever closure they want. If you’re one of those people who are like, ‘You’re never going to retire.’ After the 13th is going to be weird because you don’t have the closure you want.”

Charlotte Flair Comments on Next Hurdle In Her Knee Injury Recovery Is To Wrestle Without Knee Brace
Charlotte Flair has been wrestling while wearing a knee brace since her return from a torn ACL injury and surgery at this past February’s WWE Royal Rumble 2025 event.
Men’s Health held a recent interview with Flair. One of the topics discussed included Flair’s thoughts about how wrestling without a knee brace will be the next hurdle for her knee injury recovery.
“The only thing is I still am in my brace. I don’t even know if I’m still in that time period. I know we are required to wear, oh my gosh, I’m going to forget the name, the Don Joy. I hope I’m saying that right. Mine’s bedazzled, so it doesn’t matter. Mine is crystal. My stylist crystalized it for me because we’re like, ‘oh, this knee brace is ugly. It doesn’t go with my outfit.’ Do I need to be in it? I don’t know. So that I think is my next, my next hurdle.”
Flair also gave her thoughts about how she had suffered a “meltdown” after suffering a knee injury during her match against Asuka.
“I had a meltdown. When you’re watching wrestling, you don’t realize when we have commercial breaks, we’re having to wrestle. We’re having to act. We’re having to also count down the, you’re like, okay, we’re going to commercial break in 30 seconds, but I need to get this move in, this move in, this move in, and also this girl needs to be up or I need to be up meaning like who’s in who’s in control at the moment. Then you hit commercial five, four, three, two, one is the refs count you down. Then you’re in break. Sometimes you have a live break, but the segment before that match that I was having, went heavy, so our time got cut. So when it was time for entrances and when the match started, instead of me just taking out a certain section of the match, I left it in because of ego. Then when I went from a direction to the outside that I never had gone from in the air, I was like, okay, I’m way closer to that table than I think. Am I going to let the back of my neck hit that table or am I going to get excuse me, like the F out of Dodge. So I made- got out of Dodge and I was like, ‘oh, that felt weird.’ Then I just kept going. So I finished the match by the end of it. I wasn’t- I couldn’t walk. So I had hurt it through- I’d hurt my knee three different times during that match. So I was like, had I just stopped instead of being hardheaded, but also my character is known for her athletic prowess. So being injured, was like, oh my gosh, the pressure of coming back 100%. Was I gonna not have that same edge where I’d let the fans down? Like in your mind, you’re thinking, oh my gosh, she’s gonna come back washed, and I had that looming thought that I am 39 and that is in the wrestling world- like even though the men at 39, oh my God, they’re in their prime. Where a woman at 39 is like, oh, she’s a legend, she’s had her career, go home and it’s kind of like, huh? Like, that’s the pressure that I think women go through when you’re talking about, is it harder being Flair’s kid? I think it’s getting better, but I think that’s hopefully doors that I knock down being like, well, if the men can be in their prime at 39, why can’t I be?”

WWE Library Leaving Peacock at End of December
PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that WWE’s content library on Peacock is currently listed as exiting the service at the end of this month.
Johnson reported that WCW content is confirmed to be leaving the service at the end of this month but was not able to fully confirm the same for WWE and ECW content when he had searched the service at the time of his report.
Johnson also reported that the original belief was that WWE’s deal with Peacock for the WWE Network was set to expire in March of 2026 but the rights to the content library now appears to be expiring much sooner than expected.
