Bryan Danielson Comments on Being Part of AEW Commentary & Joy It Gives Him

The Undisputed held a recent interview with Bryan Danielson. One of the topics discussed included Danielson’s thoughts about him being part of AEW’s commentary team and the real joy it gives to him in wrestling.

“There’s an exhilaration to it. We have a diverse array of incredible wrestlers in AEW, like Hangman Page, Bandido, and Shibata. They’re so much fun to watch, especially sitting ringside. I love wrestling, so being that close to the ring gives me real joy.”

“This Book is All Elite” Author Comments on Lack of Coverage of CM Punk’s AEW Exit in His Book

Features of Wrestling held a recent interview with Keith Elliot Greenberg, author of the This Book Is All Elite: The Inside Story of All Elite Wrestling. One of the topics discussed included Greenberg’s thoughts about the criticisms and reasons for the lack of coverage of CM Punk’s exit from AEW in 2023 in his book.

“So one of the criticisms I telegraphed in advance, and I even discussed this with AEW, was the people were going to be unhappy that I don’t talk about whatever chicanery occurred backstage that led to the departure of CM Punk. This is a tribute book. If I wrote a book about the New York Mets, which is my favorite baseball team, I even have a Mr. Met tattoo. I would talk about the two World Series runs. I would talk about their marquee players, but I wouldn’t talk about the fact that the owners at the time were supposedly investors with Bernie Madoff.

But if the New York Mets asked me to do a tribute book about the New York Mets, I could do a really great tribute book, and not mention Bernie Madoff. So I was asked to do a book that is a tribute to AEW during the first five years, and that doesn’t belong in a tribute book, because really, we’re just talking about one or two incidents, but there’s a lot of backstage stuff in it, and a lot of positive backstage stuff in the book.”

“Speedball” Mike Bailey Comments on Not Getting to Wrestle Darby Allin in Continental Classic

As noted before, Darby Allin was recently pulled and replaced by Jungle Jack Perry for this year’s AEW Continental Classic tournament due to Allin not being medically cleared due to an injury.

“Speedball” Mike Bailey recently released a new vlog on his official YouTube channel. One of the topics discussed included Bailey’s thoughts about him no longer getting to wrestle Allin in this year’s Continental Classic tournament due to Allin’s injury situation.

“Things got shaken up in the Gold League, and as was announced on Collision, Darby Allin is out and that is very unfortunate because I was very, very much looking forward to being in the ring for the very first time ever. Not just in AEW, ever with Darby Allin. Match was going to be nuts for sure and now in his place is one Jungle Boy Jack Perry. I don’t care. I’m disappointed that I don’t get to wrestle Darby Allin. I’m excited to wrestle Jungle Jack Perry. But my stance on the entire tournament is… stays the same and i will do whatever I need to win the whole thing.”
