As noted before, Tomohiro Ishii has been out of action for NJPW and AEW since this past October due to a dislocated shoulder injury.
NJPW recently released a backstage video from today’s Road To The Tokyo Dome show in Takasaki, Japan featuring Satoshi Kojima and Taichi. During the video, Taichi announced that Ishii will be returning at next month’s Wrestle Kingdom 20 event. Taichi also stated that he will be teaming up with Ishii and competing in the NEVER Openweight 6-Man Tag Team Championship Ranbo match on the show. Kojima offered to be the third member of their team, which Taichi accepted.
Taichi – “1.4 at Tokyo Dome, there’s a NEVER 6-man tag, right? That’s where Tomo-san makes his comeback. Tomo-san reached out to me. Said let’s team up again. Me, Tomo, and Ishii— we’re back. Just need one more guy.”
Satoshi Kojima – “Right here’s your man, asshole!”
Taichi – “You think you can hang?”
