Inappropriate Fan Incidents Towards WWE Talents During WrestleMania 42 Weekend in Las Vegas Update – Fan Wants Apology After CM Punk Incident, Sean “X-Pac” Waltman Says Fans Stalked & Assaulted Him

As noted before, CM Punk, Damian Priest, and several other WWE talents were involved in several incidents with fans during this past WrestleMania 42 weekend at the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. Punk’s incident revolved around a fan interrupting and filming his wife AJ Lee and Bayley as the two were hugging and saying goodbye to each other in the hotel lobby. Priest’s incident revolved around him getting involved to protect a female talent after fans had swarmed her for photos and autographs.

TMZ reported that they recently spoke to the fan, who asked to remain anonymous, involved in the incident with Punk. This fan stated that he is not planning to sue Punk over Punk slapping their phone away and instead is just asking for an apology and a handshake.

“I want an apology — shake my hand — I’m not gonna sue him or put him in jail. I just want an apology.”

TMZ also reported that they managed to get more footage of the incident involving Punk that showed multiple fans filming Lee and Bayley and the two went into an elevator bank looking for privacy only to be followed by the same fan who Punk confronted. This fan stated “we love you Bayley” before Bayley had responded putting her hand up to block the man’s phone and telling him to get out of here. Punk then showed up and smacked the man’s phone away.

In response to Punk’s fan incident, WWE Hall of Famer Sean “X-Pac” Waltman stated on Twitter that he was also stalked and assaulted by fans during WrestleMania 42 weekend at the same hotel.

“That guy & all the rest like him can get f***ed. It was insane how these people were. I got physically assaulted & camera shoved in my face, stalked in the bathroom, & more.”

In a follow-up tweet, Waltman stated that he does not have a problem with fans recording or taking pictures in public but he does take issue when they invade wrestlers’ personal space.

Waltman also stated that the situation at the Horseshoe Las Vegas was a much better experience with fans being “totally respectful” towards the wrestlers staying there.
