Figthful Select reported that their sources stated that WWE has been cracking down on streamers and content creators who post videos of their reactions to WWE shows online.
It was reported that WWE has recently been sending copyright strikes to a number of streamers and content creators over clips and reactions.
It was also reported that WWE is currently working with a company called StreamEnforcement using bots to target streamers for takedowns. On their website, StreamEnforcement describes itself as providing “a holistic and cost-effective content protection strategy tailored towards our partners’ unique needs.”
The Wrestling Observer’s Bryan Alvarez reported that his sources confirmed that WWE has “totally clamped down” on streamers and content creators over the past three weeks.
Alvarez reported that a lot of people were shocked about it including those in WWE due to those videos did push the product hard to large audiences.
WWE’s actions have generated a lot of negative criticisms online due to how often WWE uses clips from content creators for recap segments on their programming.
