Josh Bishop Reportedly Not Under MLW Contract

As noted before, Baron Corbin, former Bishop Dyer in Major League Wrestling and the indies, made his surprise return to WWE at the July 10th WWE SmackDown show in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Corbin had been stripped of his half of the MLW World Tag Team Championship on the July 4th episode of MLW Fusion and was replaced by Josh Bishop for The Skyscrappers tag team and as the new co-holder of the MLW World Tag Team titles.

Fightful Select reported that their sources stated that Josh Bishop is currently not under a contract with MLW despite him working a number of dates in the company.

Bishop was among the indies talents who have been invited to WWE’s upcoming new talent tryouts during SummerSlam 2026 week in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
