Adam Copeland Reflects on Making Arena Mexico Debut at AEW Grand Slam Mexico 2026

This past Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite Grand Slam Mexico 2026 show was notable for Adam Copeland making his official debut in the Arena Mexico for his wrestling career. Copeland teamed up with Christian Cage and The Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson) in an Eight-Man Tag Team match against the Death Riders (Jon Moxley, PAC, Wheeler Yuta, & Daniel Garcia), which was won by the Death Riders.

Copeland recently reflected on Instagram about him getting to compete at the Arena Mexico for the first time in his wrestling career and how much the night meant to him.

“Copeland was the first to make his entrance on the show. He took the pinfall loss in the bout, but took to Instagram afterward to reflect on the night and how much it meant to him. “What. A. Night. Finally, finally after 34 years I was privileged to step into The Wrestling Cathedral. Arena Mexico. And man, Mexico you did not disappoint. I felt the vibrations in my bones when I came out. It’d been 18 years since I last performed in Mexico and to finally do it in those hallowed halls, the perfect way to cap off my love affair with Lucha Libre and Mexico. I’ll take last night to the grave with me. Gracias Mexico. 🇲🇽 credit @cedrix_fotografc”
