Backstage Update on Bayley’s WWE Contract Status Following Return At 9/7 WWE RAW Show

As noted before, this past Monday’s WWE RAW show Birmingham, Alabama featured Bayley making her surprise return to WWE for the first time since this past July. Bayley’s contract with WWE is currently set to expire at the end of this year and recent rumors and reports of Bayley having signed a new deal prior to her return were debunked.

Dave Meltzer reported in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter that his sources stated that Bayley has yet to sign a new contract with WWE but the current expectation is that will eventually happen.

Meltzer reported that despite Bayley not signing a new deal yet, WWE officials had felt strongly enough that she would be staying for their decision to bring her back to WWE television.

Bayley has been with WWE since December of 2012.
