Now that Davey Richards and Ring of Honor are no longer working together after ROH removed him from their December 14 Final Battle event (over being unhappy with his alleged conduct), several independent promoters have been trying to book him for what could be some of his final independent appearances with a potential WWE deal on the horizon.
EVOLVE/DGUSA boss Gabe Sapolsky went on Facebook and asked if he should “call” Richards, and Richards responded within minutes, saying he should.
The two had a falling out when Richards stopped working for EVOLVE to sign a Ring of Honor deal, which Sapolsky was upset about due to the fact he was planning to build the promotion around Richards and make him a partner in the company. Richards is now done with ROH so the two could work together again. EVOLVE has January dates in Florida.
