During Tuesday night’s WWE SmackDown tapings in Toledo, OH, Triple H came out during the opening segment and announced that The Shield will face The Wyatt Family at next month’s Elimination Chamber pay-per-view. As announced on Tuesday here on the website, that match was expected to happen following what happened on RAW. As of now, there has been no talk of that match taking place inside the Elimination Chamber.
Also at the WWE SmackDown tapings, Antonio Cesaro and Christian both won qualifying matches to earn the final two spots in next month’s Elimination Chamber match. The final two WWE Elimination Chamber participants are a major change from what was originally planned. As noted earlier, Batista and Alberto Del Rio were expected to be involved in the Chamber match. Instead, they went with Antonio Cesaro and Christian. It’s possible that they may be saving Batista vs. Alberto Del Rio in a singles match for the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view instead. That seems to make more sense with their recent Twitter war. We hope to have more on this shortly.
