Jelly Rolls Says Him & Pat McAfee Leave WWE & “Get Back To What We’re Good At” Following WrestleMania 42

This past Saturday’s WWE WrestleMania 42 Night 1 event in Las Vegas, Nevada featured Cody Rhodes defeating Randy Orton to retain the Undisputed WWE Championship. This match was notable for Pat McAfee declaring beforehand that he would completely leave the wrestling business if Orton was unable to defeat Rhodes at WrestleMania 42. This match was also notable for Jelly Roll getting involved to help out Rhodes and took out McAfee for most of the match.

Jelly Roll recently released a new vlog on his official YouTube channel. One of the topics discussed included Jelly Roll’s thoughts about how him and McAfee should step away from WWE and get back to what they are good at in their respective businesses.

“I had one goal tonight and I kind of succeeded. Pat, I love you man. Neither one of us had any business here. I say we get back to what we’re good at. man, even though I’m not actually really good at anything. But you’re great at something, so go do it. I’ll keep searching for what I’m going to do when I grow up.”

Nashville Tourism Group Says Date Didn’t Work Out for WrestleMania 43 at Nissan Stadium

WWE is currently scheduled to hold next year’s WrestleMania 43 event in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Prior to WWE’s official announcement, the city of Nashville, Tennessee had been given a verbal commitment to host the event had they finished building their new Nissan Stadium by 2027.

FOX 17 Nashville reported that “leaders with the Tennessee Titans and Nashville tourism groups” had previously said WrestleMania would be coming to the new Nissan Stadium in April 2027, which would have been just two months after construction of the venue is currently scheduled to be completed.

In a statement to the outlet, the Nashville Convention & Visitors Corp (aka Visit Music City) stated that “the date didn’t work out, and we are looking at future years.”

Ohio Senator Makes Pitch for Future WrestleMania Event in Cleveland

The United States Senate recently held a hearing to discuss the Muhammad Ali Boxing Revival Act that has been pushed heavily by WWE’s parent company TKO Group for their new Zuffa Boxing company. Among those in attendance at the hearing was WWE President and Zuffa Boxing promoter Nick Khan.

During the hearing, Ohio Senator Bernie Moreno asked Khan what it would take for a future WrestleMania event to come to Ohio. Moreno brought up a new soon-to-be-built domed stadium in Cleveland right across the street from a major airport for his pitch for a future WrestleMania event.

Moreno also pitched for Cleveland to get this potential future WrestleMania event as early as 2029 and brought up how the city had hosted a “successful” SummerSlam in 2024 for WWE.
