Lucha Underground’s plan to tape less shows is believed to be a cost-cutting measure. The company is set to do twelve tapings through January which would likely be for twenty-four shows, down significantly from season one’s thirty-nine shows. This is in order to let the company cut costs without cutting the production budget for each show.
While the company has yet to announce if each taping will feature multiple episodes, that follows with what they were doing at the end of last season.
