Forbes.com has posted a list of the top ten highest-paid WWE wrestlers over the last year and as you may expect, John Cena and Brock Lesnar top the list. The site reports that Cena and Lesnar’s income from WWE over the past year are vastly ahead of the rest of the active roster, which includes both contracts and merchandise sales.
Cena makes $9.5 million combined, outdistancing everyone both in base salary and merchandise sales. Lesnar comes in second with $6 million, followed by Triple H ($2.8 million), Randy Orton ($2.7 million) and Seth Rollins ($2.4 million). Triple H’s pay includes his salary both as an in-ring performer ($1.1 million + $700,000 bonus) and an executive ($1 million). The site notes that Orton’s pay is down from $3 million a few years ago because of his missed time due to injury. The full top ten is below:
1. John Cena $9.5 million
2. Brock Lesnar $6.0 million
3. Triple H $2.8 million
4. Randy Orton $2.7 million
