Yesterday, it was reported that Kenny Omega would be medically evaluated today for a variety of injuries, including a shoulder injury that has plagued him for several months.
Today, PWInsider is reporting that the word going around is that Omega may be out for “an extended period of time” and is “likely looking at shoulder surgery.”
Omega has been dealing with a torn labrum for months and isn’t able to lift much weight with his shoulders. Now that he has dropped the AEW World Championship to Hangman Page, it’s possible that he could undergo surgery and take time off if needed.
PWInsider added that AEW hopes to have some more clarity on the situation some time this week.
