WWE CCO Paul “Triple H” Levesque announced on Twitter earlier today that two new championship belts have been officially created and unveiled for their WWE ID developmental program.
These new belts are a Men’s WWE ID Championship and Women’s WWE ID Championship.
The top independent wrestling prospects have been ID’d… and now, we’re ready to spotlight the best of the best.

WWE’s official WWE ID social media account announced that the inaugural Men’s and Women’s WWE ID Champions will be determined by upcoming tournaments and the holders to defend their belts on the indies. No other details were given at the time.
The 1st WWE ID Champions will be determined in a tournament across the top independent wrestling promotions.

With the introduction of the WWE ID Championships, WWE now currently has a total of 21 championship belts between their main roster brands, NXT brand, WWE Speed brand, and WWE ID.
